Communication and Language

This area has two goals:

• Listening, Attention and Understanding
• Speaking

This area focuses on children developing competence in speaking and listening. Language skills develop rapidly and are crucial to the quality and depth of other areas of learning. Children will be encouraged to engage in dialogue and discussion which promotes reasoning and questioning skills and helps to develop understanding
