Intent

At the Bluebell Federation, we believe that Geography helps to provoke and provide answers to questions about the natural and human aspects of the world. We pride ourselves on our enquiry approach to geography teaching and learning, where children are encouraged to ask questions and seek answers through using a variety of sources, whilst developing their understanding of concepts, knowledge and skills. We aim to provide children with an understanding of the human impact on the environment, including their own, as well as ways we can combat issues such as global warming by Thinking Globally and Acting Locally. We believe that this approach allows them to become Subject Experts in the field and creates a sense of personal and communal responsibility for our actions where children can be activist for change.
