Gemma WhiteExecutive Headteacher - Ex officio Governor
Hello, my name is Mrs White!
I am the Executive Headteacher at both Fletching Primary School and Chailey St Peter's Primary School.
I love spending time with family and friends  and particularly enjoy trips to see the Musicals!
David KnightFoundation ex officio Governor
I am Spiritual Care Lead for the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
My job there is varied and ranges from designing a Spiritual Care strategy to managing the Trust Mediation Service.
At the beginning of January I became the Vicar of Fletching and, as part of that post, a Foundation Governor for Fletching School. Prior to all of this I have had a number of jobs ranging from academic posts, to hospice chaplaincy, to vicar of parishes in rural Warwickshire and inner-city Salford.
Brenda FordFoundation Governor
I have been a nurse for 60 years. Working in General Practice in Lewes, as a Nurse Manager and Nurse Prescriber. I specialised in Chronic Disease Management.
During the last 12 years, I worked with my GP in the Medium Secure Forensic unit in Hellingly. Â
I am now retired and live in Chailey with my husband and our dog.
I have attended St Peter's Church since we moved here in 2004.
I love studying and am especially interested in history. Besides all the training I did for my nursing career, I managed 2 Degrees and a Master's in History with the Open University. I enjoy music , sewing, other crafts and waling in the common with our recently rehomed Patterdale Terrier.
Dominie WoodCo-Opted Governor
I have recently become a Co-Opted Governor for the Bluebell Federation.
I have two children currently attending Chailey St Peters.
Both myself and my husband are from the local area, and our extended families are also based locally, so we are very familiar with this part of Sussex.
I work part time as a GP, and there are certainly some similarities between the NHS and the education system.
I look forward to working alongside such a passionate and experienced team of governors.
Mandy WatsonCo-opted Governor
I am very pleased to be a governor for the Bluebell Federation with a particular focus on SEND pupils. I have spent many years as a teacher and Headteacher in England and in Africa and with five grandchildren now, I have a special interest in education across all phases. I am delighted to see the exciting learning Bluebell provides for all our children with our new rich curriculum opportunities. Since 2016 I have worked as the Diocesan Senior Schools' Improvement Advisor in Sussex. I was previously a Senior Education Adviser in London for 13 years. I have been a school governor since 2006 in East Sussex and in London. My hobbies are walking, (preferably in the mountains or by the sea) and reading so I am particularly pleased with our library!
