Science Intent

At the Bluebell Federation, we aim to give all children a lifelong love of science through a strong understanding of the world around them whilst acquiring specific skills and knowledge helping them to think scientifically. We pride ourselves on our enquiry approach to science teaching and learning, where children are encouraged to ask questions and seek answers through using a variety of sources, whilst developing their understanding of concepts, knowledge and skills. Children are given the chance to unpick common misconceptions through our use of scientific statements, which allows them to deepen their understanding and provides a stimulus for investigation.
